Zong Prepaid Plans New subscribers to Zong prepaid may purchase a Zong starter SIM pack, worth only (rupees) Rs150 and already includes Rs75 worth of free airtime, valid within seven days from the time of activation. Unless the mobile user subscribes to prepaid bundles, the cellular network’s default tariff applies. Default Package New subscribers on the Default package enjoy a flat calling rate of 80 paisa per minute to any local networks. Text messaging also costs 80 paisa per SMS sent to on-net and off-net numbers. As for multimedia messaging and GPRS browsing, each MMS sent costs Rs3, while each megabyte of data is charged Rs15. With the default package, one may subscribe to unlimited GPRS (Rs400 per month) and unlimited SMS (Rs3.99 per day) packs. Additionally, subscribers may register up to five frequently dialed numbers for cheaper airtime. Zong 45 With Zong 45, calls to any network in Pakistan cost a flat rate of 45 paisa per 20 seconds, while each SMS or MMS sent costs Rs1 and Rs3, respectively. For GPRS browsing, one MB of mobile data costs Rs15. And just like other prepaid packages, unlimited SMS costs Rs3.99 per day. As for international airtime, calls to the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom are charged 45 paisa per 20 seconds, while calls to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iran, Sri Lanka, and Russia are priced at Rs4.5 per 20 seconds. Zong 65 The Zong 65 prepaid pack delivers 65 paisa per 30 seconds of all-network calling, which, when calculated per second, charges a cheaper rate when compared to Zong 45. This plan is indeed ideal for mobile users who place calls more frequently. The prepaid package’s MMS, SMS, and GPRS rates cost the same with that of the Zong 45 prepaid pack, with an option of unlimited GPRS browsing at Rs400 per month and unlimited SMS at Rs3.00 per day. Other Zong Prepaid Packs and Promotions Zong +1 Mobile users who make frequent calls to a regularly dialed mobile number may opt-in for the Zong +1 prepaid package, which enables subscribers to register the preferred contact for a cheaper calling rate of 35 paisa per 20 seconds. One may dial *515# and follow instructions to register the favorite number. A one-time subscription fee of (rupees) Rs10 will be charged upon choosing the package. Also, a daily operator fee of Rs1.25 will be collected from the prepaid account. Karachi Unlimited Karachi Unlimited subscribers located in Karachi are entitled unlimited airtime and SMS to any on-net mobile number anywhere in Pakistan. One may choose the monthly package, worth Rs199, by sending the keyword “khi” to 522. For the daily package, worth Rs7, mobile users may send the keyword “khi7” 522. Lahore Unlimited Zong subscribers permanently residing in Lahore may subscribe to this plan for unlimited on-net calling and text messaging. The monthly option costs Rs199, while the daily package costs Rs7. One only needs to send the keyword “lhr” to 522 to subscribe to the plan. To unsubscribe, one needs to send the keyword “unsub” to 522. Location Based Charging (LBC) Mobile users who travel less and stay within their respective cities over long periods may subscribe to Zong’s Location Based Charging packages. Except the area of Jhang, where location-based airtime is priced at Rs8 per daily subscription, all other locations qualify for the Rs7 daily offer. Monthly packs are also available at Rs220 for Jhang and only Rs199 for other locations.
