LIME (Anguilla)

LIME is a mobile network operator owned by Cable & Wireless Communications PLC, covering 13 Caribbean countries that include Antigua & Bermuda, Anguilla, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Cayman Islands, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, Turks & Caicos, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Jamaica, and Montserrat. Until 2008, LIME was previously branded as bmobile by its parent company, which also owns 49% of Tinidad & Tobago-based TSTT.

After receiving franchise rights in 2007 to build mobile telecommunications infrastructures in the British Virgin Islands, bmobile (now LIME) has continued to expand its market base by aggressively offering cheaper mobile service rates. The service provider has also expanded its coverage by installing more mobile infrastructures across the British Virgin Islands and the rest of the Caribbean.

Today, LIME Anguilla offers cost-effective mobile services aligned with the calling needs of customers, whose preferences gradually shift from traditional postpaid services to no-contract prepaid plans. As a major tourist destination, the Caribbean is an ideal place for the prepaid market to grow because such mobile services do not require long-term commitments or monthly bills.

LIME Prepaid Plans and Refills

LIME Anguilla All Talk Prepaid Plan

With the All Talk plan, prepaid subscribers enjoy 6000 minutes of calls to LIME mobile phones in Anguilla and in other parts of the Caribbean where LIME network coverage is available. The All Talk plan costs EC$175 per month.

LIME Pay-as-You-Go Prepaid Plan

With the network’s prepaid (pay-as-you-go) option, calls are generally priced according to the time of day and the network to which calls are made. During the day (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.), calls to LIME landlines cost EC$0.60 per minute while calls to LIME mobile phones cost EC$0.50 per minute. In the evening (Monday to Friday 6 p.m. - 8 a.m.), calls to both landline and LIME cellphones cost EC$0.50 per minute. On weekends (all day Saturday and Sunday), calling to LIME landlines charges EC$0.40 per minute while calls to LIME mobile phones, still charge EC$0.50 per minute.

Calls to other mobile networks cost a flat rate of EC$0.75 per minute anytime of the day. Text messaging also costs a flat rate of EC$0.25 per message sent, while picture messaging, at EC$0.65 per message.

Calling features, which include voicemail, caller ID, call waiting, and 3-way calling are offered free of charge. However, call forwarding is not available on LIME prepaid plans.
