Aircel Prepaid Plans Start-up Kit Rs25 With Start-up Kit (SUK) Rs25, Aircel subscribers receive a new SIM card worth (Rupee) Rs25. Although the SIM card has a lifetime validity period, the default tariff is valid only for one year, after which new rates will apply. The default tariff charges 1paise per second for airtime calls to local networks, whether mobile or fixed lines. STD calls, on the other hand, cost 1paise per second for on-net calls and 1.2paise per second for calls to other mobile networks and landlines. As for text messaging, each SMS sent to local numbers costs Re0.60, while each SMS sent to national networks costs Rs1.2. International text messaging costs Rs5 per SMS sent. Once the one-year valid period lapses, all on-net calls, whether local or STD, will be charged Re1 per minute, while all other calls, local or STD, will cost Rs1.5 per minute. Monthly Rate Cutters Frequent mobile users may opt-in for any of Aircel’s 30-day-validity Rate Cutters, the included allocations of which vary per denomination. For instance, the Rs9 pack includes 100 local and national text messages, while the Rs19 package includes cheaper local Aircel-to-Aircel calling rate of Rs0.10 per minute from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; the Rs19 pack also includes 250 local and national SMS. Other package options include Rs27 (all STD calls worth Rs1.20 per 3 airtime minutes), Rs35 (500 local and national SMS), Rs39 (from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., calling rate of Re1 per 30 on-net local airtime minutes and 50paise per minute for all other local and STD calls), Rs49 (1,000 local and national SMS), Rs60 (3,000 local and national SMS), and Rs79 (20,000 local and national SMS, maximum of 3,000 SMS per day in accordance to the Fair Usage Policy). Aircel Prepaid Refills For Aircel prepaid top-ups, subscribers may visit any Aircel store, authorized retail outlets, and store locations throughout the covered telecom circles in India. For added convenience, mobile users may replenish their airtime by purchasing Aircel prepaid recharge denominations of US$2.75, US$5, US$7.50, or US$12.50 on Babblebug.com, which accepts credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal as Aircel prepaid load payment options. Once purchased, the Aircel prepaid refill top-up will be converted to India’s equivalent currency.
